I've taken a pretty long hiatus from posting stuff on Deviantart... mostly because I mostly stopped doing art for... how long ago was my last post here? 3 years ago? I've gone through many periods where I lost confidence in my ability and passion as an artist, and most of that came from this idea of value that kind of plagues me, even now. There had to be some tangible goal that I was working towards, ie career or at least some major project. I think one of the things that really changed this for me is all the dreams I've had where I was doing the things that I loved growing up. I love them and I wish so bad I had enough money to buy like... thousands of pastels. I'd clear out a whole art store of their shmincke and unison pastel selections if I was rich. Some of my most used pastels, like all the purples, have been worn down to minuscule nubs >_>
